Changeless by Gail Carringer (#2)

Genre: Scifi/Fantasy

Okay. So I liked this one a bit more than the first.

It picks up a little after the first one let’s off and Alexia is the newly married Lady Maccon (to the Scottish werewolf). Funny buissness ensues and they find themselves on the strange trail of a powerful weapon that makes supernaturals human. The trail leads them to Scotland where the truth is unveiled and mystery afoot and so on.

This combines all the elements of a steam punk novel with that of a paranormal romance. I’m not quite sure how I feel about Alexie because while bad ass, doesn’t represent true soullessness. And the ending was a bit of a cliffhanger.

I have all the books on hand so I’ll see where it takes me. I’ve read worse. 😉
